Tramway Networks as Route Graphs

چکیده
The purpose of this paper is threefold: (1) to show a methodology for introducing formality step-by-step, starting from a “light-weight” ontology, (2) to apply it to the generic Route Graph model, instantiated here to Tramway Networks, and (3) to demonstrate that separation of concerns into layers of abstraction and application of generic formal notions such as graph abstraction lead to a useful decomposition of safety properties.

Toughness of the Networks with Maximum Connectivity
The stability of a communication network composed of processing nodes and communication links is of prime importance to network designers. As the network begins losing links or nodes, eventually there is a loss in its effectiveness. Thus, communication networks must be constructed to be as stable as possible, not only with respect to the initial disruption, but also with respect to the possible...
متن کاملApplication of n-distance balanced graphs in distributing management and finding optimal logistical hubs
Optimization and reduction of costs in management of distribution and transportation of commodity are one of the main goals of many organizations. Using suitable models in supply chain in order to increase efficiency and appropriate location for support centers in logistical networks is highly important for planners and managers. Graph modeling can be used to analyze these problems and many oth...
متن کاملIncidence cuts and connectivity in fuzzy incidence graphs
Fuzzy incidence graphs can be used as models for nondeterministic interconnection networks having extra node-edgerelationships. For example, ramps in a highway system may be modeled as a fuzzy incidence graph so that unexpectedflow between cities and highways can be effectively studied and controlled. Like node and edge connectivity in graphs, node connectivity and arc connectivity in fuzzy inci...
متن کاملVector-Space Methods and Kirchhoff Graphs for Reaction Networks
This article presents a vector space formulation for constructing reaction routes (reaction pathways) and Kirchhoff graphs (reaction route graphs) for reaction networks. Specific examples, many coming from fuel-cell electro-chemistry, are included throughout to illustrate the more-general theoretical discussion.
متن کاملGround-borne vibrations, sounds and secondary airborne sounds from tramways: a psychoacoustic evaluation including health aspects
For decades, urban noise and vibration studies were mostly concerned with road traffic and trains. Tramway noise was rarely studied. Since the introduction of new types of tramways in the city of Graz strong complaints were brought up by local residents in certain areas. Typically, the annoyance by tramways results from a complex combination of sounds and vibration exposure depending on ground ...
